I will post the original writing date where known, otherwise the date will be listed as “unknown.” These reviews were written between the date of my site’s founding in 1996 through much of 2002. Reviews written in early 1998 or earlier, no date of creation exists. I will attempt to combine them as best as I can. I believe there are still some that are lost and they may be lost in perpetuity, but I will periodically search for that data or re-write those reviews that I have never found or which I never wrote to begin with.įor now, this series will be extensive with over 300 regular (400+ words), short (400- words), and quickie (1 to 2 paragraphs) reviews. A number of the reviews I wrote in the past I thought had been lost to time, but after coming to a realization that they might still exist on the Wayback Machine, I was able to relocate many of them. Grave Digger 40 **WINNER** (with that win, Jon Zimmer and Grave Digger went 14 of 20 on the weekend. In this series of articles, I’ll be posting reviews that have recently resurfaced. Later in freestyle, with the torrid pace Jon keeps, the body disintegrated leaving Digger bare to the frame!! Tonight he whacked the loud pedal a little harder, clearing the obstacle that shocked him earlier, and when he came back to earth the body took the brunt of the force and dispersed the energy away from the driver but demolished the body. Earlier today Zimmer and Digger came down hard on the rear of the body/frame in the wheelie contest, giving Jon a severe jolt. Jon Zimmer and Grave Digger joined in the fun in shedding bodies as well. Lupe rolled the truck one more time tonight to leave just the tube frame of El Toro Loco. Massive amounts of body damage on the Bull, but Lupe's crack team will have it back and ready for action for tonights final show in Hildago.Īfter several crashes this weekend, Lupe Soza and El Toro Loco finally just shed the broken and busted body. Bicycling up on two wheels and then running out of the required real estate to save the truck. Lupe Sosa and El Toro Loco provided a wow moment to day. Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter had been the only team to knock Digger and Jon out of victory lane this weekend, having won all of the Donut Competitions. Zimmer and Digger are now 11 for 16 over the course of 4 Monster Jam events and each containing 4 competitions. Will the Grave Digger streak continue, or will Bounty Hunter finally get to the top step of the podium? Or, will it be a new name in Hildago that makes it to the BKT Tire Victory Lane? Can't wait to find out!!Įl Diablo and JP Ruggiero fought their way to the BKT Tire Victory lane in the Freestyle competition, breaking the streak of Jon Zimmer and Grave Digger. 2 more shows on Sunday to make a total of 20 competitions for the Monster Jam teams that are on the road to the World Finals. Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter have challenged many times in other competitions, but has lost out by fractions of a second and minimal amounts of points. Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter went to victory lane in donuts, laying down the most exciting pass of the day!!ġ2 competitions and 9 wins for Jon Zimmer and Grave Digger!! The guy has been dominant this weekend. Jon Zimmer and Grave Digger again won wheelie and obstacle course racing as well as freestyle. 2 days of Monster Jam and 2 rollovers for Nicole and Scooby!! Last night they crashed on the finish line jump, today, just before it. Nicole Johnson and Scooby-Doo provided the wow moment again today with a roill over in the Obstacle Course Racing. Scooby-Doo 23.15 (crashed at finish line) Dynamiting the brakes into the face of the hybrid track, and then hard on the loud pedal, JP nearly completed a back flip!! Two thirds of one, anyway! JP Ruggiero supplied the other wow moment in the Wheelie Contest. It will beat an amazing feat if the crew can return the truck to action. Nicole was able to save that one, but later in the Obstacle Course Challenge, she couldn't gather in another wild moment, sending the truck in to the dirt on the right front, folding the steering rams and 4-link bars under the truck. Nicole Johnson and Scooby-Doo provided massive amounts of metal carnage tonight!! During the Wheelie Contest it looked like the metal carnage was going to come early as Scooby got squirrelly on hit 3 of 4.
